Okay. Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. >> Can I have your attention? It's 5:00 now. 501. Uh, and we will begin our committee of adjustment committee of adjustment meeting for the month of August. Everyone's information. We generally deal with each application according to the order of the agenda. Extra copies are available somewhere over there. The municipality of Norfolk County is committed to furthering truth and reconciliation in our communities. We recognize the historical and current contributions of indigenous peoples throughout Canada and particularly in Norfolk County that have added to the rich cultural and social fabric that exists here today. We will strive to continually strengthen and develop the spirit of respect, cooperation, and collaboration to the mutual benefit of all Norfolk County residents. With that, we'll go to the approval and changes to the agenda. Council has the agenda before them. We have five proposed changes to the agenda to adjust a clerical error in close session item 21.2. It should say ward 5 to add registered speaker Ike keys, president of the Halddererman Norfolk Builders Association. Reagenda …

Good afternoon everyone. Good afternoon everyone. Is this working? There we go. Um, as you can see, we do not have a chair here today. So, as per our procedural bylaw, if the mayor and deputy mayor are not present in the room, we're required to wait 15 minutes before starting the meeting and appointing the chair. However, I'd like to ask that council wave the procedural bylaw by uh twothirds motion to wave that 15minute waiting period for the um as we know that the mayor is not available and the deputy mayor is virtual with us. Um and to do that for both the special council meeting following this meeting and for the public hearings committee meeting. Okay. Councelor Van Passen, Councelor Deathy, and then now in um in accordance with our procedural bylaw council, we'll have to appoint a chair for the meeting. Councelor Columbus. >> Yes. Thank you. I would appoint uh councelor Alan Duffy to chair the meeting. Do >> you have a seconder? Councelor Van Passen. Thank you. Councelor Dethy, you can take the chair. All right, welcome everybody. Thank you for uh your attendance today. I think uh in an effort just to ensure things are nice and uh clean related to the motions that you heard uh to wave the procedural bylaw for those two items, I will call the question on them just out of making sure things are clean. So, all those in favor of said motions and that is carried. Thank you very much. All right. I would like to welcome all members and guests to the June 2nd, 2026 public hearin …
