Le conseil fixera de nouvelles redevances d'aménagement et refusera l'empiètement au 440 Green St
Le conseil votera sur un nouveau règlement sur les redevances d'aménagement fixant les frais de croissance, et examinera un rapport recommandant le refus d'une entente d'empiètement au 440 Green Street. Un nouveau chef des pompiers (Rob Atkinson) sera nommé. Des mises à jour du règlement sur le contrôle des animaux et de la politique d'attribution de la glace sont également à l'ordre du jour. Le conseil se réunira à huis clos pour discuter de questions de personnel et de terrains.
- Approuver le règlement sur les redevances d'aménagement 70-2026 fixant les taux pour les nouveaux développements
- Refuser l'entente d'empiètement pour le 440 Green Street (utilisation privée d'une ruelle municipale)
- Nommer Rob Atkinson comme chef des pompiers (règlement 72-2026)
- Modifier le système de pénalités administratives pécuniaires pour inclure les infractions au Code de prévention des incendies (règlement 69-2026)

Council endorsed the Bruce Area Solid Waste Recycling (BASWR) Municipal Services Corporation business case, including the recommended governance model, and directed staff to notify member municipalities. The endorsement includes proceeding with the MSC in principle, continuing the existing working group as transition committee, and holding a public meeting on July 7, 2026. Council also denied the 440 Green Street encroachment request, approved amendments to the Animal Control By-law, and adopted several by-laws including the Development Charges By-law.

Second item on the agenda is the land acknowledgement and the vice deputy mayor has that this evening. >> Yep. Thank you, Mr. Mayor. We acknowledge that we are meeting on the traditional lands and treaty territory of the soju nation which consists of the Chipua of Sin and the Chipoas of Niwash unseated First Nation. We understand this land holds immense significance to the people of Sagin Ojiway nation. We appreciate those who live and work alongside us today and who continue to continue continue the traditions of their ancestors as stewards of the land we are privileged to inhabit. We thank them for the contributions they've made in both caring for the land and in shaping this community. We commit to truth and reconciliation, to acknowledging the truth about what happened to indigenous peoples because of colonization and to reconciliation which begins with each and every one of us.
