that in the provided documents it outlines that the municipal employees will be
responsible for maintaining the dog park on the said property, as well as erecting
the fencing. She asked how much it would cost for insurance and noted that her
tax dollars are supposed to go towards operational costs and not a dog park. She
questioned how many individuals will be using the dog park due to safety

Under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, S181 is illegal to shovel snow, blow snow, plow onto [clears throat] or across a roadway. It is also very dangerous and can cause oncoming vehicles to lose control as they are removing the agent applied to the roadway to give traction. You uh we may have a couple of our road plows damaged during the most recent storm. Sorry. We have had a mo a couple of our road plows damaged during the most recent storm, causing $3,000 in damage to the wing assembly for hitting large banks being formed by piling the snow that has been pushed across a roadway. The cost to all taxpayers when repairs are needed. So, please do your part to help our plow operators do their job safely and keep our roads in a safe condition. Safety is everyone's job. Mayor Cameron announced that he will be calling a Public Meeting at some point
when the development for the Orchards of River Bend subdivision on County
Road 23 comes to Council. He has requested the CAO to reach out to the
Counties and the applicant and noted that the CAO and the Village's Planner
would be present. He continued that it would be held at the Merrickville
Community Centre 2 weeks prior to it coming to Council so that the public has a
chance to ask questions and have some of their concerns answered. He noted
that there is no timeline on it but that the CAO will keep Council up to date on
when this meeting can be held.
