Thank you. Motion to add it to the agenda? Member Beattie, Member Kerr, all in favor? Carried. All right. I'm actually gonna miss the Chair's monthly brief, so I'm gonna do that now. Good morning and welcome members of the board, Chief Leather, members of the service, and members of the public joining us today. Last week, the board had the privilege of attending Chief Leather's swearing-in ceremony, a significant and proud moment for both the service and our community. On behalf of the board, I want to again congratulate Chief Leather on his appointment and express our enthusiasm for the future. We look forward to working together in the months and years ahead as we continue our shared commitment to public safety, community engagement, and organizational excellence. We are confident that under your leadership, the strong relationship between the board and the service will continue to grow and thrive. It is also fitting that we begin today by recognizing an exciting milestone for the service. One of the most rewarding aspects of governance is seeing a project move from an idea through months of research, planning, partnership, training , and dedication to a successful outcome. This morning, we look forward to receiving an update on the K9 unit and celebrating the tremendous work that has gone into bringing this important capability back to the Coburg Police Service. Thank you. They did a great talk and sort of question and answer. July 17th, I was pleased to be joined with Mayor Kiski, members of this council, including Deputy Mayor, MPP Puccini, for the YMCA, many of whom are here today in our audience, at the unveiling of their completed roof renovations, or their new roof project. We, of course, were joined by members of council on July 17 th to celebrate the 100 years of the Royal Canadian Legion. It was a lot of fun. Impressive that 100 years that service is still going strong, and represents one of the largest number of volunteers in a single organization in Canada. Tomorrow marks an important milestone for our community as we welcome Coburg's new police chief, Chief Leather. I look forward to working alongside Chief Leather and the Coburg Police Service as we continue to serve and strengthen our community. On July 30th, really excited. You must be as well, Fire Chief. The launch line in fire, I won't go into that 'cause I'm sure CIO Vaughn has a few remarks about that at her own, so I'll leave that there. The nomination period, obviously, for the election, elections, both municipal and school board elections, as well as municipal elections are now open. Nominations can be filed from May 1st, August 21st. The Town of Coburg's Accessibility Advisory Committee is now accepting nominations until August 31st, 2026. Always an important advisory committee, one of the two remaining, and we're always looking for new people to sit on that v …

Thank you. to all members of Council, staff, and our audience this evening. I will now call this meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. As of the printing of this agenda, there are no addendum items, which moves us on to Item Number 3, which is the confirmation of said agenda. Do I have a mover? So moved by Councillor Berkatt, seconded by. Councillor Barbour, that means we've got the confirmation of the agenda on the floor. Are there any questions, comments, or concerns? Councillor Mouton. - Thank you. I'm just wondering on timing, were you going to speak to pulling ahead of an item because that we have speakers? Or will that come up on the agenda? - Why don't we move through the agenda as it's stated. If this council decides to move an item up on the agenda, we can do so by a simple consent around the horseshoe. I don't think we need to officially amend the agenda. We can simply decide as a council. Did that work for you? Okay, perfect. So since we've addressed that, no other questions, all in favor? So moved. There is no resolution into or out of a closed session. At this time, we get to the traditional land acknowledgement. Is there a member of council who wishes to read the land acknowledgement this evening? See? See none? Okay, we'll move forward. Disclosure of pecuniary interest. Are there any declarations of pecuniary interest at this time? See none? Items arising from closed session. Now before we, oh, we'll do this and then we'll talk about that thing, Councillor Mouton. Ther …
