City Council

Community Issues Committee
The Community Issues Committee recommended City Council approve $596,538 from the Affordable and Social Housing Capital Fund for Streets Alive Mission's Supportive Recovery Housing project, with all eight members in favor. They also recommended adopting the updated Public Art Master Plan and a Snow and Ice Control service level change with a subscription-based windrow assistance service. A motion to dissolve the Animal Welfare Committee was defeated in a 4-4 tie. The committee additionally adopted the Community Safety Action Plan in principle, 7-1.
