Le Comité du cimetière discutera de l'installation d'un columbarium et d'un événement de collecte de fonds
Le Comité du cimetière examinera les travaux d'embellissement et d'entretien en cours (y compris l'installation de deux nouveaux columbariums compagnons), les activités de collecte de fonds (éventuel événement automnal remplaçant la Célébration des bougies de glace), et l'installation d'une carte. La réunion permettra également d'adopter le procès-verbal précédent et de traiter des questions administratives.
- L'installation de deux nouveaux columbariums compagnons est prévue avant l'automne, avec une gravure par Lock City Monuments
- Discussion sur le remplacement de la Célébration annuelle des bougies de glace par un événement automnal utilisant des sacs ignifuges et des bougies chauffe-plat

Special Council
Le Conseil adoptera un nouveau règlement municipal sur la collecte des déchets pour la municipalité de Wawa
Lors de la réunion extraordinaire du conseil du 23 juin 2026, le Conseil procédera aux première et deuxième lectures du Règlement n° 3891-26, qui crée un nouveau système de collecte des déchets et abroge le Règlement 31-69. La réunion comprend également une discussion sur le projet de Plan d'amélioration communautaire pour le logement Algoma au 39 Algoma Street, avec une audience publique statutaire prévue pour le 14 juillet 2026 et une subvention proposée allant jusqu'à 200 000 $. Les autres points à l'ordre du jour incluent la confirmation des délibérations du conseil du 23 juin (Règlement n° 3890-26) et le passage en séance à huis clos pour des questions juridiques.
- Règlement n° 3891-26 – première et deuxième lecture pour établir un nouveau système de collecte des déchets, abrogation du Règlement 31-69 ; troisième lecture prévue pour le 14 juillet 2026, entrée en vigueur le 1er septembre 2026.

Le Comité du patrimoine discutera des projets en cours, notamment les mises à jour sur les améliorations de l'accessibilité du cimetière Mackenzie/Bethune, le projet de numérisation du patrimoine de Wawa et la protection du site de la pierre runique de Wawa. Le Conseil réexaminera le projet de règlement sur les feux d'artifice après l'examen des commentaires du public
Le Comité plénier examinera les recommandations du personnel visant à revoir le projet de règlement sur les feux d'artifice, suite à un mémorandum résumant 39 soumissions du public. Le mémorandum note que 35 soumissions s'opposaient aux amendements, trois les soutenaient et une offrait un soutien conditionnel. La réunion comprend également des présentations de rapports mensuels départementaux et un rapport de l'EDO sur la trajectoire vers le zéro émission nette (Net Zero Action Pathway) et la modélisation communautaire des GES. La prochaine réunion du Conseil est prévue pour le 14 juillet 2026.
- Examen de 39 commentaires du public sur le projet de règlement sur les feux d'artifice (35 opposés, 3 favorables, 1 conditionnel)
- Recommandation du personnel de revoir le règlement sur les feux d'artifice lors d'une réunion ultérieure

Le comité discutera du projet de règlement sur les feux d'artifice et de la politique d'élimination des déchets
Le Comité plénier examinera deux points principaux : un projet de règlement visant à réglementer la vente et l'utilisation des feux d'artifice, suite à une demande du Great Canadian Dollar Store, ainsi qu'une politique régissant l'autorisation des entrepreneurs et l'élimination des déchets par les non-résidents à la décharge. Le projet de règlement sur les feux d'artifice permettrait la vente au détail, tandis que la politique sur les déchets établit des règles pour la vérification de l'origine des déchets et les formulaires destinés aux entrepreneurs. Les procès-verbaux des réunions précédentes et les dates des prochaines réunions sont également à l'ordre du jour.

Council to adopt the 2025 Wastewater Performance Report
The Regular Council meeting will approve the agenda and adopt minutes from the April 7 meeting. Council will receive and endorse the Wawa Wastewater Performance Annual Report 2025 and approve a proclamation for Community Living Algoma Awareness Month in May 2026. Several by‑laws will be read and adopted, including those governing restricted‑acts authority and use of corporate resources in elections. The mayor’s travel to the Algoma District Municipal Association meeting in Sault Ste. Marie will also be approved.
