I would note for today's meeting that Councillor Reid will be leaving at approximately 11:30 am and has appointed Councillor Hornick to be his proxy. As well Councillor Tedja will be leaving at approximately 11:00am and has appointed Councillor McFadden as his proxy. Councillor F onseca said that she'll be arriving a bit later today as well. Councillor Daskal is also going to be arriving a few minutes later. Otherwise we do have a number of councillors virtually as well as in person and we do have quorum. Thank you. Mayor Redekop: Thank you very much. On to our land acknowledgement. We would like to begin by acknowledging the land on which we gather and which the Region of Peel operates as part of the treaty lands of the Mississauga of the Credit and the traditional territory of the Anishinaabek, Huron-Wendat and Haudenosaunee nations. The purpose of this session is to engage council in a discussion on advocacy priorities and the overall approach for the 2026 Association of Municip alities of Ontario AMO Conference pursuant to section 4.10.7 of the region's procedural bylaw as amended. No decision shall be made at a workshop or education session. We have a presentation by Sonia and Patrick from Government Relations, and I will turn it over to them. Obviously, this is a work session, so if anybody has any questions in the middle of the presentation, just put your hands up or unmute yourself and we'll recognize you and you can take the floor. Mayor Parrish will also be absent for today's meeting and Councillor, she's appointed Councillor Dasko as her proxy due to other municipal business. Councillor Hart's also leaving around noon is appointed Councillor Hornick to be her proxy. Councillor Medeiros has indicated that he will be leaving a bit earlier this morning and has appointed Councillor Fortini as his proxy and as well Councillor McFadden will be leaving a bit earlier this morning and has appointed Councillor Butt to be her proxy. Every day working to provide safe, affordable housing to some of the most vulnerable residents, while also ensuring that our buildings remain in a strong state of good repair.
