Maple Ridge council adopted a series of bylaws at its July 28, 2026 regular meeting, including new medium- and high-density residential and mixed-use zones for key growth areas such as Transit-Oriented Areas, the Town Centre, and the Lougheed Transit Corridor. Council also adopted a Tenant Protection Bylaw and related companion policies, a new Amenity Cost Charges Bylaw, an updated Building Bylaw, and floodplain management and soil deposit regulations. Several rezoning bylaws were adopted for townhouse and single-detached developments, and the Port Haney Waterfront Park improvements budget was increased by $700,000. All recorded votes carried, with Councillors Tan and Yousef absent.
