Currently we do Bi-weekly pickups. 1 week garbage and the next is recycling. There is a large discrepancy between the 2 rates. Garbage is $8.41 per resident per month and recycling is $3.16 per res per month. Both routes take exactly the same time and require the same man power. (3 employees) This means that we are losing money on the recycling. We do this service knowing this as we are able to subsidize it partially with the curbside as well as with the 3 yard bins.
