Emergency Management Executive Committee
Le comité discutera de la modification du financement de l'EMCR et des nouvelles exigences de la loi sur l'urgence
Le Comité exécutif de la gestion des urgences discutera d'une modification de l'accord de financement des exigences d'engagement autochtone de l'EMCR (EMCR24435) qui prolonge sa durée jusqu'au 31 mars 2027. Les membres examineront également les exigences de la Loi sur la gestion des urgences et des catastrophes provinciale entrant en vigueur le 1er janvier 2027, notamment l'évaluation des risques, les plans de gestion des urgences et les plans de continuité des activités. Le Conseil examine les commentaires de la communauté sur les options de traitement des eaux usées
La réunion du Conseil spécial du Village de Daajing Giids reçoit le « Rapport de ce que nous avons entendu » concernant la consultation communautaire menée de décembre 2025 à mai 2026 relative au projet d'installation de traitement des eaux usées. Le Conseil passera également en séance à huis clos, conformément aux sections de la Community Charter traitant des intérêts commerciaux de tiers et de la prestation de services municipaux.
- Quatre sites de traitement des eaux usées présélectionnés présentés : West Area 3, 8th Street, Smith Point East et Skidegate Connection
- Les coûts totaux de construction estimés varient de 25 M$ à 46 M$ selon le site, avec des coûts de cycle de vie sur 40 ans allant de 34 M$ à 56 M$
- Investissement fédéral de 1,14 million de dollars obtenu à l'automne 2023 pour l'évaluation et la conception du projet ; financement provincial de 20 millions de dollars reçu fin 2023
- Augmentations potentielles des frais d'égout annuels par utilisateur résidentiel discutées selon l'option choisie
- Le rapport de consultation communautaire résume les contributions des assemblées publiques et les commentaires recueillis entre décembre 2025 et mai 2026

Le Comité directeur du traitement des eaux usées discute de la sensibilisation du Conseil de la Nation Haida et du Conseil de la bande de Skidegate concernant trois sites potentiels pour une usine de traitement des eaux usées et un possible raccordement au système de Skidegate. Une réunion publique est prévue le 25 mai afin de recueillir les commentaires de la communauté. Le comité recevra également une mise à jour du calendrier du projet de la part d'Urban Systems. La réunion comprend une session à huis clos pour les questions relatives aux terres, au droit et autres sujets.
