Regular Meeting

The Township of South Stormont regular council meeting on January 24, 2024, includes several action items and reports. Council will consider awarding a consulting contract for a long-term financial plan, adopting a new fire and rescue mission statement, and approving a letter of concurrence for a Freedom Mobile telecommunications installation. Several by-laws are up for adoption, including one to regulate traffic at Sunnyview Avenue and Mack Street, a general fees and charges by-law, and a by-law to authorize the sale of land to Kamal Verma.

Regular Meeting

The council will consider three bylaws: authorizing temporary borrowing, setting the interim tax levy, and amending the volunteer appreciation committee membership. A delegation from SDG Library Services is scheduled. The council will also acknowledge biennial bridge inspection reports.
